6th January 2023 – Introduction to Edging

We’ve explored elements of edging and teasing before on DEI, but today we’re going to focus on it.

If you’re unaware, edging is the act of bringing yourself close to orgasm and then backing off to prolong your play session. For many people, edging repeatedly can lead to more intense orgasms when they finally climax.

Regardless of whether you’re very accustomed to edging or it’s brand new to you, today is about exploring how edging affects your orgasms and whether it’s something you’d like to experiment with further.


Rules and Information:

  • Orgasm control is required. Edging requires you to control when you orgasm. You will need to wait until the end of the instructions to conclude your session.

  • You will need a comfortable space. Everyone is different and some people reach orgasm faster than others. You will need privacy, time, and space to play undisturbed for long enough to edge properly.

  • Optional: Create an atmosphere. Whether it’s through incense, dimmed lights, candles, or relaxing music, consider creating a calm and relaxed environment to experiment in.

Instructions:

  1. Start by removing your clothes.

  2. Get comfortable wherever you have chosen to play. Lay down and make sure you’re warm and relaxed.

  3. When you’re ready, spread your legs to a comfortable position and place your hands on the inside of your thighs.

  4. Take a deep breath in. As you breathe in, slowly glide your fingertips over your skin and caress upwards, over your underwear and your stomach, up to your breasts. You should finish breathing in as your fingertips reach your nipples. Then, breathe out slowly, tracing gentle circles over your nipples as you do. Stop playing with your nipples once you finish breathing out.

  5. Take another deep breath in. This time, as you breathe in, glide your fingertips down from your chest and over your stomach until they are resting between your legs. You should finish breathing in as your fingertips arrive between your legs. Then, breathe out slowly, using one of your fingers to trace a single line as gently as possible over your labia, from your entrance up to your clit. Ensure your touch is as soft as possible whilst you do this. Stop touching yourself once you finish breathing out.

  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5. Breathe in, glide your fingertips up to your nipples, then play with your nipples as you breathe out. Follow this by breathing in, gliding your fingertips down to your vulva, then very gently brush over your labia as you breathe out. Continue repeating this until you can feel yourself getting wet enough to continue playing.

  7. Once wet, slide two fingers between your labia and rest the fingertips against your entrance. Do not slide them inside yourself yet. With your fingers resting against your entrance, count to five and then begin to move your hand upwards as you spread your fingers apart. Continue opening your fingers and move your hand upwards until your fingertips have naturally brushed over and past your labia. This should feel a little bit like you’re spreading your labia with two fingers.

  8. Repeat step 7, except this time, begin with your two fingers very slightly inside you. Rest your fingers there, count to five, then spread your fingers apart as you move your hand upwards. This motion should naturally slide your fingers out of you, spreading you slightly as you do so.

  9. Repeat step 8, pushing your fingers slightly further inside you before you begin. Only spread your fingers apart when they reach the edge of your entrance and are barely inside you. Continue to repeat this until you are starting with your fingers fully inside you.

  10. Hold your two fingers fully inside you. Use your free hand to begin playing with your clit. Be slow and gentle, but use whatever technique feels best for you. Once you have got into a rhythm, begin experimenting with moving your fingers too. Curl your fingers upwards and run your fingertips over the top of your vagina, thrusting slightly as you do so. Do this at the same pace as your clit play. Continue with this slow play until you can feel yourself getting close to orgasm.

  11. Bring yourself as close to orgasming as you can without actually orgasming, then stop playing completely. If you’re unsure how close you can get, stop early rather than late.

  12. Relax for a moment. Close your eyes and embrace the feeling of your desire. Take deep breaths as you come down from your need. Spend a minute or two doing this.

  13. When ready, repeat steps 10, 11, and 12 but be slightly firmer and more direct with your play. Once again, make sure that you don’t orgasm. Do this until you have brought yourself to the edge and stopped at least three times.

  14. Use whatever techniques you choose and orgasm.
