Hysterical Literature was a video art project that began in 2012. In it, a variety of women are recorded reading a book of their choice, aloud. Today’s instructions are about recreating these videos for yourself.
You will need a book of your choice, a camera, a vibrator and enough privacy to spend ten minutes speaking aloud and recording yourself.
Rules and Information:
- You can orgasm at any time. This is not about control.
- The video you make is for you to enjoy. If you’d like to share it with your partner or somebody else, you’re obviously welcome to! That said, this is exercise is for you. It’s about exploring new ways of appreciating your sexuality and sensuality.
- You will need a camera. Your phone will do. You will need to stand it up and have it facing you as you sit across from it. You do not
- You will need a vibrator. If it’s remote-controlled, that’s perfect. If not, one with variable settings will do. If you don’t have something suitable, use whatever toys you have available.
- You will need a book. Pick a book you like!
Instructions
- Find somewhere comfortable to set up a camera to watch you read.
- Remove the bottom half of your outfit and sit down in front of the camera.
- Use your fingers to tease yourself before you start. Trace small circles over your clit. Imagine how the video will turn out when it’s done.
- When ready, press record on the video. Then, slide your vibrator inside you or hold it against your clit. Set the vibrator to a low setting.
- Read your book aloud. Don’t feel the need to look into the camera.
- Every time you finish a page or two, increase the intensity of the vibrations.
- Continue to do this until you’re at the maximum intensity or you orgasm. Feel free to add other elements of play if you’re on the edge and want to tip yourself over. Just ensure you’re still reading as you play.
- Finish the recording.
