Today’s instructions are about playing with your senses. The most common form of sensory play is sensory deprivation e.g. removing senses to create a greater focus and intensity on those that remain. A great example of this is blindfolding, which adds an exciting element of the unknown to sex and play in general.

However, today, we are going to experiment with hearing, instead. Auditory deprivation rarely involves sitting and listening to nothing (as it’s very hard to eliminate all sounds, even with headphones), so, instead, music is used to fill the void.

There have been countless studies on the impact of music on feelings, mood and sensation. The most exciting part is that everyone is different and in turn, every song will have a different effect on every person. This also applies during play. Some songs may make you want to be rough and direct whilst you masturbate whereas others will have a calming influence, making you take your time and relax. This is what we will explore today.


Rules and Information:

  • You can orgasm at any time. These instructions are not about orgasm control, just ensure you are listening to music throughout your play.

  • You will need headphones. Preferably get some over-ear headphones rather than earphones, as these will be better at eliminating external noise and immersing you in the moment. They are also more comfortable in a variety of positions.

  • You will need music. Whether it’s Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube or something else, you will need a source of music and preferably, a playlist of songs. Alternatively, you can play a single song on repeat.

  • You can use toys. At any point during these instructions, if you would like to use a toy instead of your hands or fingers, do it.

  • If you can, consider matching your atmosphere to your mood. Want a calming session? Make sure your space is tidy before you start. Want to be rough and direct? Ensure you have enough room and privacy to be loud and comfortable.

Instructions:

  1. Choose a mood. How are you feeling today? Would you prefer a slow and casual play session? Are you in a rush? Are you feeling energetic or particularly turned on?

  2. Pick a song or playlist which aligns with your mood. Then, put your headphones on, press play and prepare your space. Considering doing the preparation naked or in a state of undress if you think this will help you embrace the sexual energy of the activity.

  3. Select a position to start in. Choose one which aligns with your mood. Feeling adventurous or energetic? Pick something different, unusual or more explicit. Want something a little more relaxed? Pick a position you’re familiar with and know that you love.

  4. Ensure your music is at a comfortable volume which blocks out any external noise. This is your space and your time to play, let the music fill the space and remove any external distractions. Relax into it before you start to play by listening to a song or two.

  5. Begin to play, matching your play to your mood. Be slow and teasing if you are focusing on relaxation. Be more brazen and fast if you are craving satisfaction.

  6. Orgasm.
