Whilst erotica is literally in my name, Daily Erotica Instructions, the instructions I write are really just one aspect of what the word ‘erotica’ includes. Depending on who you ask, erotica can include everything from pictures and paintings to sculptures and art installations but usually, people use the term erotica to describe literary work that is designed to arouse or excite you.
I write literature but I rarely write erotic stories. We’ve discussed porn for women before but the power of the imagination is far better than any audio, photo, or video that you could experience. Erotic stories paint a picture in your mind that can be hotter than anything you see other people doing in real life.
With that in mind, today’s instructions are about discovering what erotic stories are out there for you to enjoy. There is a huge variety of erotic fiction available, it just needs to be explored. Here are some websites to get you started.

- CHYOA – free – stands for Choose Your Own Adventure. A unique approach to erotica that makes each story a choose your own adventure ‘game’ where your decisions lead to different chapters and outcomes for the characters

- And many more options – there are several big websites specialising in erotic literature. Alternatively, you can buy bundles of short stories on Amazon Kindle, which is one of the only channels that erotica writers can use to make money from their work
Rules and Information:
- You can only orgasm whilst reading an erotic short story. The story can cover any kink, style, or preference. Just browse until you find one that you enjoy.
- Remember any descriptions you love. Did a story describe a fantasy, position, or sex act that you hadn’t considered before but realised you love? Remember it and consider exploring that fantasy further, either with a partner or during your solo play.
- Optional: Use toys. If you have some, use toys to amplify your pleasure. These instructions are about exploring erotic short stories and pleasure in whatever way you prefer.
- Read in comfort. Reading in the dark can damage your eyes and make it more difficult to sleep. Make sure to use a blue light filter or have a lamp on if you’re reading at night and using your phone or another device.
